Over more than 20 years, ASI Group Latam’s journey has established milestones that position it as a leader in the underwater services sector.
ASI Group Latam (formerly known as Diving Service Salvage) was founded in 2004 as a company specializing in commercial diving, maritime salvage, and ROV inspections. It later expanded to various territories across South America, Central America, and the Caribbean. It is now a subsidiary of the Canadian company ASI Group, a global leader in underwater services.
ASI Group Latam has successfully completed over 1,500 kilometers of underwater inspections using remotely operated vehicles (ROVs). These vehicles are equipped to tackle a variety of challenges and meet the specific requirements of each operation. A standout capability is inspecting structures without draining them, even under zero-visibility conditions, which significantly reduces downtime during inspection processes.
We utilize advanced technology to inspect structures of various dimensions (including tunnels, pipelines, siphons, and grates) starting at 40 cm in diameter. Additionally, we are the only company in the world capable of providing clients with the ability to conduct long tunnel inspections, equipped with the world’s longest umbilical at 14 km (alongside umbilicals of 12, 10, 7, 5, and 3 km), providing unparalleled autonomy for hard-to-reach inspections.
ASI Group Latam and Technological Advancement
In every project, technology is an ally in delivering quick response times for operations conducted safely and efficiently. We have adopted cutting-edge technology that empowers us to propose innovative solutions across our business lines. This innovation translates into tangible benefits for our clients: more precise inspections, reduced downtime, minimized risks, and lower inspection costs. We not only identify problems but also open the door to underwater asset digitalization (using BIM methodologies or others), exhaustive infrastructure analysis, detailed deliverables that reflect the actual state of inspected structures, and monitoring their evolution over time.
